Lizzy Carroll is a Certified Professional Midwife and third-culture kid. She grew up in Uganda as part of a missionary family where God first planted the dream in her heart of becoming a midwife. After attending a friend’s birth in her village during high school, she saw firsthand the value of compassionate support during pregnancy and birth. Lizzy’s passion for midwifery continued to grow as she recognized the scarcity of quality care in many low-resource settings and the opportunity to make a long-lasting impact in families’ lives.
Lizzy graduated from Mercy In Action College of Midwifery with a Bachelor’s of Science in Midwifery (BSM). During her training, she had the opportunity to learn alongside midwives with varied educational backgrounds and attend 100+ out-of-hospital births in both Texas and Kansas. After completing her clinical training at Wichita Birth Assistance, Lizzy is now a Staff Midwife as well as the Office Coordinator. While her long term goal is to serve overseas, Lizzy believes that God has placed her in the U.S. for the next season of her life. She is excited to join the WBA team in serving the Wichita community! “It is an honor to walk alongside families during such a transformative time in their lives,” Lizzy says. “I feel truly privileged to be welcomed into that space. If women come away feeling empowered, informed, and supported, then I am confident we have done our job well.” In her spare time, Lizzy enjoys spending quality time with friends and family (often over a cup of warm chai!), serving at church, and connecting with the international community in Wichita. Lizzy serves a one-hour radius outside the Wichita Metroplex and offers flexible scheduling (evening or weekend visits available). She would be delighted to meet your family and see how she can partner with you on your birth journey! |
