Our GoalsWichita Birth Assistance (WBA) was founded in 2010 by Cynthia Barger. From the start it has been a resource for mothers, doulas, and midwives. WBA provides Midwifery, Montrice, and Doula services and provides information for other services you may need during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Our well trained and experienced professionals are dedicated to serving the families with whom we work during this momentous time and with the highest level of integrity, both in the home and hospital setting. We desire to help our clients find the best possible birth support, that is most suitable for them. We do not seek to replace the father or any other member of the mother's support system but rather encourage any support that is meaningful to mother and baby. Wichita Birth Assistance happily serves families in the the greater Wichita, KS area. |

Our hope and prayer is to offer Christ focused midwifery care that seeks to help each woman know she is valuable and her birth choices have been honored and supported.
What We Believe
We believe every life is a gift from God and has unique value and purpose.
We believe children are a blessing and pregnancy is the way God grows a family.
We believe pregnancy and birth are best when clients are intentional and vested in the preparation and educational process.
We believe strongly in the informed consent process and trust parents to make decisions regarding their choices in pregnancy and birth.
We believe midwifery care is an appropriate choice for low-risk women
We believe homes and birth centers are safe places for low risk women to birth.
We believe that in the absence of special circumstances, birth happens best when it evolves naturally without medical interventions.
We believe all women deserve to be treated with love, respect, kindness, and dignity
We believe that women who want/need to birth in the hospital should also be treated with dignity and respect and can have a great outcome if there has been preparation and a proper birth team to support her.
We believe for the health and safety of the mother and baby, the midwife/client relationship is a mutual responsibility.
